How did I get here. . .
Some references I took inside the shop that were directly included in the final illustration! The bench taking up the majority of the illustration is shown on the far right. The mug in the two left pictures is drawn on the left edge of the bench in the Bench Warmers graphic.
The illustration was inspired by a drawing made by one of the baristas on the back of a paper bag. Unfortunately, I lost that drawing! The line style was based on this t-shirt sold by Concept Surf Shop also located in downtown Encinitas.
