THE PROJECT
All of the artworks above were made this semester, Spring 2022, to expand my experiments in extended reality drawing. All of the projects were preexisting in the classes I was taking and I simply applied augmented or virtual reality mediums to their requirements. I focused specifically on augmented reality because I have less experience in this medium than in virtual reality. Although they did not know much about the mediums, all of my professors were open to me using extended reality in their classes and were extremely pleased by the final products. One of the most exciting projects was the AMD 411: Data Visualization Project where I partnered with the Sustainability Program at school to create a series of augmented reality posters that will be displayed at six major buildings on campus.
INTERNSHIP GOALS
Applying extended reality art mediums to my other classes allowed me to significantly increase my skills in Google Tilt Brush, Adobe Aero, and Artivive. I was then able to apply these skills to better instruct the students in Digital Drawing. Each of the projects I made also serve as a lasting example of how augmented and virtual reality can be applied to projects in AMD 411 and AMD 419. They provide perfect case studies to show other Art, Media, and Design professors how easily and effectively these mediums can be integrated into their existing classes.
