Samples of my slides for the presentation
THE PROJECT
The DDCDT and I finally gave our faculty presentation in early April. A substantial amount of professors from the Art, Media, and Design department were present at our virtual meeting. We presented a summary of the work Professor Allard and Professor Brar have been doing in their classes in addition to the work that I and the other intern have completed. I gave a short speech about the extended reality artworks I have been creating in other classes to demonstrate the versatility of augmented and virtual reality software in art classes.
I have been creating my contentĀ for several months before the presentation date which you can see a sample of above. I also established a design style for the entire presentation and applied it to many of the slides. To see more of this presentation, please contact Professor Allard and ask for a recording of the event!
INTERNSHIP GOALS
This part of my work as an intern has definitely increased my experience in working with a team. The DDCDT and I had a huge amount of information we were all passionate about to discuss in a relatively short presentation. It has taken a lot of collaboration and compromises to create an orderly lecture. In addition to teamwork, this experience has given me a glimpse into how professors create academic presentations to give to their peers. This complicated and often messy process is all for the purpose of increasing awareness of the exciting field of digital drawing here at CSUSM. During the presentation itself, I was able to make some important connections with various professors in the department that will hopefully give me more career and educational opportunities in the future.
